Valhalla 2084 Single/EP

Irving Force/Strontium Cop

We are proud to introduce an entirely new sub-genre to retrowave — Vikingwave is born!

The track “Viking 2084” is an energetic “aggrotech” song with a distinct flair of Scandinavian folk music and rhythmic vocals — produced by darkwave duo Irving Force and Strontium Cop, it is the first of its kind.

The hypnotic track is based on authentic Viking Age music and includes a live recorded horse-hair lyre — an instrument hailing from the Viking Age known as “talharpa.” We’re excited to find out if retrowave and darkwave fans are ready for an entirely new sound — influenced by the distant past.

Like it or not, here comes Vikingwave!

Airwolf Theme (Chilly Skies Summernight Version) Single/EP

Perfect Nothing

Electronic music duo Perfect Nothing returns with a summer chill-out remix of the iconic Airwolf Theme.

Airwolf was an American action military drama television series that ran from 1984 to 1987. The series centered on a high-tech military helicopter, code named Airwolf, and its crew as they undertook various exotic missions, many of which involved a Cold War theme.

The show’s distinctive musical score was originally orchestral but shifted to more synthesizer-based arrangements early in the second season. The Airwolf Theme was composed and conducted by Sylvester Levay.

Top Gun Anthem (Cool Breeze Anniversary Version) Single/EP

Perfect Nothing

Electronic music duo Perfect Nothing has composed their own take on the seminal “Top Gun Anthem”, an instrumental rock composition and the theme for the 1986 film Top Gun. Harold Faltermeyer wrote the music. In the movie, the full song is heard in the ending scene. An edited version of the song without the electric guitar is played in the opening scene when an F-14 Tomcat is being prepared to take off from an aircraft carrier. The composition won a 1987 Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Performance.

Halloween 1984 Single/EP

Strontium Cop

Operational since 1984. You have the right to remain silent. Forever.

Strontium Cop’s sinister, eerie, and guitar-charged version of the “Halloween Theme” is a menacing refresh that aims to “add new and stay true” to the underlying source material.

Did you know John Carpenter wrote the original composition in ONE hour? The seminal “Halloween Theme” premiered in Carpenter’s 1978 slasher-horror film Halloween. Oddly, the “Halloween Official Sound Track” was first released in Japan in 1979 through Columbia Records, whereas the US market had to wait until 1983 for Varèse Sarabande to release it there.

Crockett’s Theme (Vice City Vacation Version) Single/EP

Perfect Nothing

“Crockett’s Theme” is an instrumental song composed by Jan Hammer for the hit 80s series Miami Vice. The name “Crockett” refers to Don Johnson’s character, James “Sonny” Crockett. The instantly recognizable soundtrack theme first appeared in the Miami Vice episode “Calderone’s Return: Part 1 – The Hit List,” which aired on October 19, 1984.

We hope you’ll enjoy Perfect Nothing’s ambient electronica “Vice City Vacation Version” of the popular theme. Relax, chill, and if you need to take the edge off, order a Tequila Sunrise, lean back, and enjoy!

“Crockett’s Theme (Vice City Vacation Version)” is released by PAXINOMA’s ambient electronica label PAXONIC. It is the second single from our electronic music ensemble Perfect Nothing.
